The Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation's 31st Annual Scientific Meeting will take place April 28-30, 2011, at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in National Harbor, MD.

This program has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for CME (ACCME) through joint sponsorship with the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation.

By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Interpret topics in cardiovascular science with emphasis on research design, methodologies, and outcomes linking the basic sciences to clinical problems.
2. Discuss innovative approaches to cardiovascular science research and the application to translational research.
3. Outline innovative approaches to understanding fundamental mechanisms involved in the causation and therapy of cardiovascular disease.
